Omas Europa Needs Help

Hello FPNM, I have a Europa Paragon whose nib was loose. I discovered that the tubular seal that seats the nib against the feeder and body had deteriorated and I need to find one to replace it. Is there somewhere I can go for just that seal? Second question to those who know the Paragon model, as this is my first one. The fill knob will only go a turn and a half, and that doesn't seem like it would pick up much ink. Is that normal? I have a Milord piston filler and the knob turns at least 2-3 full turns. After repeated flushing it is the same, and I don't want to force it. Another concern of mine since I am admittedly a bit paranoid, is the nib and feeder pull out of the body. I have read other Omas repair descriptions that say the nibs and feeders unscrew. Please tell me that not all Omas nibs and feeders screw in. I bought this recently used. Is it possible that the original screw in nib and feeder were exchanged? One other question I have, is the Europa model celluloid or acrylic plastic? I have searched for quite a while and can't seem to find out much about my pen. Thank you for any help and information offered. It would go a long way to give comfort to this frustrated mind. Please refer to the attached photo. Dane

An update: Problems of this nature weight on my mind, so I sought a solution. I made a new seal and the nib is back in place. As for my concerns whether this was the original nib, the answer was in the seal. Any kind of fake or counterfeit (yes, I read through the article on counterfeits in the Forums section here) would not have age issues, as the old seal clearly did. The nib passed the magnet test lol, and the cap screws on very securely. I am confident my Europa is authentic and set to go. I just have to make the decision whether or not to ink a LE pen that was made in 2000 and has never seen ink lol. Dane

Your pen is authentic as is the problem with the ebonite collar. Omas pens of this vintage had collars that tended to disintegrate. You should be able to get a new collar from John Mottishaw but the part is somewhat expensive. The nib and feed are not screw in but the collar does thread into the barrel. If this disintegrates then the nib and feed will come loose. I had this happen on an early 90's gray pearl celluloid Paragon.

BTW-Your pen is resin.
