Montblanc 100Ml Bottle

Hello fellow FPNers!

I recently picked up a 100mL Mont Blanc ink bottle off the 'bay, and it looks quite interesting, especially the tapered edge for ease of filling. The seller said it was "vintage", but we all know everything on the 'bay is either vintage, rare, or retired :roflmho:

Naturally, I turned to FPN. Does anyone know this bottle's history? Its cheap plastic-y (yet somehow...cute?) shape is definitely dramatically different from the expensive looking bottle today.

Here are some pictures I took.

I have a few of these too and am perhaps equally ignorant of them. I think they are from the early 70s and were just how they sold them then. I love mine as display items.

One of the questions I have is did this bottle come before or after the smaller triangular bottle???

This bottle is also shown in Barry Gabay's article (pinned in the MB forum), it is from the early 80's.

Ah, the wonders of FPN. Thanks for the information! I'm tempted to collect bottles from the 50-70's to complete a Mont Blanc ink bottle collection
