I see that Herbin has a new ink in a cool bottle for Valentine's Day. Does anyone else have a really cool looking ink and bottle right now?

I have the Pelikan edelstein jade ink

Cool color and definitely cool looking bottle

the Herbin bottle has been pulled up on FPN a few times... it was a Heart shaped bottle with a large dip pen, with a few papers and envelopes included.

 

In terms of cool ink bottles, there's Iroshizuku, the new Akkerman ink discovery, MB's shoe bottle...

Pelikan Edelstein Jade ink arrived today! As did my new Baystate Blue with 2 pens.

 

Hello, my name is inky and I'm a FP ink junkie! :embarrassed_smile:

 

Love the Akkerman bottles, but do not see where you can order them in the US.

 

Back to the BSB, love it, classic blue, NO feathering. Used the free FP and wrote on several mediums, including a puzzle book that is newsprint paper!! Shocking, no feathering at all. Oh, and the people at Goulet Pen Co. are super to deal with, thank you Rachel. (No, not affiliated, just very grateful to have found another supplier for my "habit".)

#23 Bekakt Haags

AKA Brown

 

Very warm golden brown color, very nice shading characteristics.

 

Smooth flowing with good lubricant qualities.

 

#29 Hofvijver Grijs

AKA Graphite Grey

 

Looks like pencil until you see the shading within the ink. With a very wet writer it looks just like pencil.

With a little dryer writer the shading comes out and it has an odd silvery tonality to it.

 

Smooth flowing with good lubricant qualities.

 

#18 Garuda Rood

AKA Red

 

Nice dark almost blood red, or red-black. Depending a great deal on the pen. Wetter the writer the darker the tones.

Very nice shading with this color... more so than the other colors. Goes from a bright cherry red to an almost garnet color.

 

Once again very good lubricant qualities.

 

 

Overall I am quite pleased with all the colors. The exceptional bottle just adds to the wow factor.

 

Well worth every single penny!

 

In a flex pen I can see these inks showing their true shading qualities... That is next on the list of items to obtain!

Acklerman, Levenger, Pelikan Edelstein, Diamine, Pilot Iroshizuku, Montblanc( I like the small square one wht Diamond blue comes in)
