Comparison Of Various Fountain Pen Size

However, if possible, I'll upload another side by side picture of my fountain pen collection.

Although Conway Stewart The Great Exhibition is larger than Pilot (Namiki) Emperor, Emperor has larger nib than The Great Exhibition.

You might want to convert these to JPEG format (.jpg). The files would be a lot smaller with not much loss of detail, and your upload allocation would go further.

My smallest pen is a 1950's black and gold Mercedes, 4 1/2 inches long. Pen body with nib is 4 1/4.

 

But the cap is long, 2 3/8th.

Posted 5 3/8th. Posted it's nice enough, but un-posted it is much too short to write with.

 

I have black Mercedes cap that fits my Pelikan 400's perfectly, I have a 400NN and a (90-96) 400.

 

In fact when I won the little Mercedes, I did not realize it was so small, and thought my cap, with Mercedes still prime, with the gold lettering, would replace the cap that the gold lettering was worn off. It didn't fit, too large.

Your 4 1/2 inches Mercedes pen seems to be larger than my Swan pen. The pen is shorter than 4 inches and same size as the cap of Conway Stewart The Great Exhibition.

The Pilot Emperor is the one with the largest nib size, in terms of length and width ? its writing size be what ? broad ? does it come in 2B or 3B ? What type or model is the one in the photo ? it looks to be black with no decoration it is the kind that like, with a super-large nib, if it was not expensive, but it is expensive, and out of my reach, unless china decides to make a replica of it and the other such large fountain pens, if replica could be made in the country of china, it would make buying such type of fountain pens affordable within a $20 budget, is my limit. the closest type of fountain pen that i could think to buy would be the waterman phileas broad, but it cost $36: $25 for medium, and $16 for fine-medium.

My last option is Lamy Safari broad, is within my $20 budget. Why Lamy does not make its fountain pens in 2b or 3b ?

The Pilot Emperor is the one with the largest nib size, in terms of length and width Its writing size is Medium nib and it's only model name is Namiki Emperor Urushi Black..

 

Side by side, Montbalnc 149 & Pelikan M 1,000 has a small nib.
