Identify Waterman

Recommended Posts

I'm attempting to identify this Waterman pen. I bought it from the UK as a 503 which it is not. Identifying marks on nib are "Waterman Ideal England 2B". On the barrel is Waterman's.. Made in "Ideal" England... Fountain Pen. Looks a bit like a 32 or a junior, but not either and I can't find a picture of a waterman pen anywhere that fits this one. Does anyone have a number for it or does it have a number? Thanks.

Maybe a better picture. Also has "Waterman" on the clip.

I have one, except mine has a 2A nib instead of a 2B. Unfortunately, I don't know what the model is called either. Mine is also English, so whatever it is, I'm guessing that it was only available there.

Looks like a 501 to me with the plain unboxed lever, but the clip shape suggests a late 52 derivative.

That fading suggests hard rubber - 52 / Junior mix and match?

The one I have is also a bit faded (although not as bad), but I don't think its rubber. A 52 derivative would probably have a full sized #2 nib, and Juniors and 501/503s don't have flat ends on the barrel and cap.

British made 52's usually have 2a / 2b nibs - they are only a fraction smaller than the USA / Canada 2 nibs.

Hi All

I am looking for a cap of a similar pen.

I am try to identify it as some friends travel the UK and could find one for me.

One of my 52v cap fits well and has the same length of discoloration.

There are no numbers at the end of the barrel. It could be at the other end of the cap.

It is as some asked a BHR.

Longer than a 52v. Dont know the length of a 52 or 54. All I know is that they are longer.

After searching, It could be a 12 or 14 screw top.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

Gilles

Not a Commando.

Two pics of the actual pen

The lever is so simple, thin. The nib is a 2, no A or B. Reg U.S

Made in the UK

The cap of my 52v fits. See pics above.

Thanks

Gilles
