Lovely pen kimonos

I think that Stewart Kinner pen wraps are already well known here in FPN. They may be seen showing up sometimes in the market subforum. This is the second time I have seen them and always have read about very good critics about the pen wraps and about Stewart himself. It was time to send an email and see what happened...

Answer was fast and positive in the way that Stewart showed to be a pen lover and about his very good mood and flexibility. I asked for a pen pouch that would hold safely and confortably a pair of big Danitrio Mikados. Answer was immediate and he offered me also some new designs to choose from. Needless to say that the cloth designs were very nice and of a good number to choose from... not an easy task. Finally I ended with two that I liked, and due to the very reasonable price I ordered two. Stewart offered an extra padding due to the nature of the future inhabitants and the idea was accepted at once. He offers also black or white (bone) color interior lining and manufacture is top class.

All communication was immediate and absolutely smooth... nice man indeed and a couple of weeks later I received a big envelope containing what I show below in a few photographs... they will speak by themselves.

Just noting that the pens are stored in two separate compartments. and that in my case he included (seems to be standard now) a cleanning cloth in deep burgundy. There was also a very kind letter from him explaining clearly the cleaning process if ever needed...

Thanks Stewart... Nice work indeed!

This is the Koi wrap, beautiful design...

Hope you enjoyed the photos... (they may be more clear than the ones shown in Stewart's page) but the cloth has to be seen in person to really appreciate the beauty and the texture of it...

Ah... Can't forget to say here that I'm just another happy customer...

Stewart's wraps rock. I have one with my Delta Dolce Vita Medium and Stipula Etruria Nera in it.

+1 On everything! I have ordered two from him a cherry black one, and a crane branch wrap. The wraps are absolutely beautiful, and Stewart is such a wonderful person!

I think that Stewart has found a gap in the cases, wraps and pen kimonos offered and he is filling it with best quality and workmanship, and as you say, a very nice man too, open to suggestions and customisation... Will keep an eye on the fabrics offered.

I love also the cherry black one, it is absolutely nice indeed...

I really love the way Stewart's wrap design adds a distinctly Japanese and special feel to taking out and putting away that one special pen (or two). Plus the fabrics are so beautiful.

Lovely wraps! Is there a batting (padding) between the exterior and interior fabrics?

Yes, there is enough padding to keep the pens safe. You may also ask him to use more if you like. Communication is straightforward and results are very nice.
