This is the Pelikan-issued Italic that they consider "medium" sized. This is a re-issue of the M200 italic that had sold out earlier last year. I haven't tried it myself just yet, but I have heard that it has a good amount of line thickness variation while writing smoothly.

Two questions:

Is this a cursive italic (vs crisp italic)? From your description it seems like a cursive italic.

Looks more like a stub, to me. Not a whole lot of line variation going on there.
