Here's another fantastic red ink under the influence of my broad nib. :)

Rolling out the RED carpet we have Sheaffer Skrip RED.

Great review! I really do like this red, though I've only used it in cartridges. It's not so easy to find, though - it often seems to be out of stock!

Probably all the teachers stocking up on the ink for grading purposes. hahaha....The Writing Desk carries the ink.

This is my favorite red ink. I'm surprised it dried so slowly on that paper. It dries quickly on cheap paper in my experience. It behaves well on bad paper, too. Yes, it is not water-resistant.

I think that the only reason that you are experiencing such slow drying time is because you are using quite a broad nib. As a lefty overwriter I have to be careful about which inks I choose to use, and I can use this ink with no smearing problems. I usually use a fine nib and nibs that aren't too wet writing. With a little care, I can also use Sheaffer Red with an italic nib.

Best, Ann
