A nice one.

I have been "eyeing" this pen for a long time. Last week, patience was rewarded. A nice example with no lever was won on the bay for the price of 4 venti cappucinos. It arrived today. It sports now a new lever (non-original but I dont care for now), and a silicone sac and the #3 Diamond Point nib is flexing its tines. It will be one of my pens during Christmas travel.

This is a "Long and Short" Diamond Point. 1930-35 according to the blue book. Tres cool, as the cap essentially covers the whole barrel when it is closed /:) If you have any info about other available colors etc. please share it here.

Woo!

By "diamond point", does it mean that it has diamond as its tipping on the nib :o ?

Kissing, back to school! Would a crystal of pure carbon survive an (futile) attempt to solder it to a metal tine? It would rather burn to CO2 ...

And glueing it to tines doesn't sound very stable.

Neat, Antonios! My friend Bruno is making me one of his "Long Short" pens, which are a homage to your Diamond Point Long and Short. I had never seen the original before today, thanks!

Photo of my mostly completed pen below--Bruno's version comes with a base! Mine is the ivory casein to the left--it will be a bulb filler rather than a lever filler.

Very nice.

I have a Diamond point kicking around, the lever may fit your pen??

It is a black version of the pictured pen.

Dan, Bruno's base is very smart :) In fact it was a prior discussion of his pens that put me in the path for the Long and Short.

Jay, the lever in your pen is probably larger. The one I put fits and works OK.

I have never seen what the "true" lever looks in the original pen.

Is it something like the round top with the DPP inscription that we see in the ringtops, or is it something like in other pens like this one that I reviewed some time ago.
