Bought a little known German pen

Bought this piston filler last weekend.

From a little know brand Rodur (Hardly able to find any mention of it on the net)

With 14k gold nib and can take lots of ink.

The brand and words made in germany are engraved on the barrel

There is an ink window as well.

Bought it as a NOS for $22, pretty cheap for a German made 14k nib piston filler

I've never seen this particular make/model before ... but I find myself loving it already, sight-on-scene.

 

It exudes precision German engineering with the associated graceful, refined, yet subdued lines common to the likes of Pelikan. And the price was most certainly right, too!

 

All in all, I just can't help but offer my heartiest: Congratulations!

They were school pens, the brand is old and I think long gone....

I bought mine (I actually have two) twentyfive and so years ago, and they were already a remanence...

 

I remember them writing nicely, but is long time I don't use them.

When I was first stationed in Germany in the early to mid 1970's, I saw Rodur pens on a couple of occasions. I do not remember what the contexts were, though. I was focused on Pelikan and Diplomat pens back then (on the recommendations of my German friends and neighbors), so I did not ask to much about other pen models. After that time, I do not recall seeing the Rodur brand again.

I bought it at a local flea market in Singapore, from my favourite vintage pen sellers.

We do get these German piston fillers here quite often.

I bought a super rotax R89 and G.E.super 62 from him before as well.

All cheap german piston filler school pens.
