A fake Parker?

Sorry if this has been covered in another string - I couldn't find it. I recently purchased what I thought was a Parker Pen but I'm no longer sure it is. It looks very similar to a Lucky Curve Parker I own, slightly shorter, but it is a lever fill and the nib reads warranted 3 14 KT. Where you would expect to find the name on the barrel is blank. The barrel and the cap have a wavy pattern on it.The washer style Parker 1916 clip is the only thing that identifies it as a Parker. Is it likely a fake? Did Parker ever make something like this? Thanks. Sorry I don't own a digital camera...

Likely not a fake Parker. Rather a no-name competitor that ended up along the way with a Parker clip.

There's always the Parkston:

I'm restoring it for someone on another board, and it's basically a copy of the Duofold but in lever fill form. The nib reads "14 KARAT GOLD PLATE"

It's a nice enough pen for a no-name. Nib finally writes smoothly after a lot of burnishing (so many paper bags). Holds buckets of ink (size 22 sac). He paid $5 for it at a flea market, not a bad price at all. Only problem with it is the feed is bit spotty. Took me about 10 tries to get it adjusted just right so it would actually feed. To me, the feed looks like it belongs on a vest pen or something.

The only info I've been able to find on this brand is that they *may* have been produced by the Eclipse company.

Do you have any other tidbits to share David?

Fraid not, though concur with vague recollection either Parkrow or Parkston is so linked. Jon Rodie (sp?) had nice article in Penworld some time back iirc.

Just pointing out that... well... if the pen has a name, it cannot be a no-name. Picking nits no doubt :)
