Parker Duofold Citrine

Is this a new Duofold? I've never seen it before, and today I spotted it on the Akkerman website. I don't understand Dutch, so I haven't got any idea what it is. Maybe it's a new model which is coming later this year? I hope so. I like the colour!

It looks like the Check designs that come in blue, green and red. Maybe widening the series? Looks nice anyway.

Oh, Lord! Nummy-nummy! That is one current production Duofold I can love. The only problem will be price. I wonder if Parker will declare it another synthetic LE and charge accordingly? - Cynicism. Sorry.

Dear FrankB,

FYI: it will be charged just as a 'normal' Duofold Check pen. The Dutch (and I assume European) prices will be according to the official price list:

Duofold

Duofold Centennial Check Fountain pen € 425,00

Duofold Check Fountain pen € 375,00

Duofold Check Roller € 375,00

Duofold Check Ballpen € 375,00

Duofold Mini Check Foutain pen € 375,00

I visited Akkerman Amsterdam yesterday. To buy fillings for my Visconti and to tease myself with my dream-pens: the Montblanc 'Karl the Great' and the Parker Duofold 'Snake' (both still available) :puddle:. We discussed the new Duofold Citrine. He told me he expects it to arrive in store in a month time.

I own some Duofolds (including my personal ALL-TIME favourite, the 'Cloisonne'  ), but this new 'Citrine' version looks gorgeous already on photo  !!!

I wonder if I will be strong enough not to buy it...

ENJOY writing :) !!

Best regards,

Ruud

Yes, a new DUOFOLD CHECK, it will replace the GREEN CHECK, available in France in June, J.M.L.

The Green Check is my favorite of the three check patterns. It is hard to find a green pen. I guess I may have to get one a little sooner than I had planned. The Citrine is one good looking pen, though. Will there be any other new colors?

Yes, it will be the only new pattern, it will replace the green check which will be discontinued at the end of June, it will be immediately available in Medium and Fine nibs size, but all the others PARKER nibs sizes are available with a small delay to order them, J.M.L.

Hi Satrap,

I received a mail from P.W. Akkerman, Amsterdam, that the Citrine arrived in store. I will go there within 2 weeks to buy the roller :puddle: :yikes: !!

Nb. Two prices were incorrect (due to copy-paste, sorry):

Duofold Check Citrine Pencil € 200

Duofold Check Citrine Roller € 280

Other prices are correct.

Grtz,

Have hinted to the wife that I would like one of these for my birthday in a couple of weeks, unfortunatly the hints seem to be falling on deaf ears.

I know the feeling. My wife only ever gets me (Potty Mouth) presents costing less than $100. :bonk: :crybaby:

I will not rest until I have this pen this year! Simply a fabulous piece! :cloud9: :puddle:

Will it be available soon or is it available now?

Will the pen be available at some of the pen shows this summer? What about any of the b & m stores?
