After Gary (MYU) wrote his great review of the Lamy 27 line, I had to try them out myself. I got three and am keeping one, but selling two I got from Jürgen Kuhse in Germany, in my new attempt to strictly limit how many pens I keep. Fine print below, here you go:

First up is the top pen, a Lamy 27e in black. This piston-filler is in great condition and is just over 5.25" long, with no brassing, no scratches of the plastic cap or barrel. This pen fills perfectly--it does have nice clear ink view windows but when I took the photos, it was filled with ink and they don't show up. The 27e has a screw cap. The nib is a very nice Medium Oblique, as marked on the piston knob and it writes quite well. $50 shipped CONUS.

The lower pen is a Lamy 27n in black and is just over 5.25" long. This pen has a rolled gold cap with an interesting lined pattern--four lines, space, two widely spaced lines, space, etc. This pen is also a piston-filler, of course, and is filling just fine. No scratches to cap or barrel, no brassing at all. Again, the clear ink view windows are obscured by ink in the photos. This pen is a slip cap and it has a clutch mechanism in the cap much like a Parker pen of that era. The nib is a FK, as marked on the piston knob, meaning that it is a fine ball-pointed (K = Kugel) nib. To me, it writes like a medium, though, not a fine. It is a somewhat wet writer, but not a firehose, and is quite smooth. It has some flex and with a bit of pressure the line widens to a broad. $65 shipped CONUS.

Fine Print: First firm email to dacmell@earthlink.net will take the pen. Questions welcomed but do not hold the pen. Pens shipped first class mail. International buyers, please email me regarding shipping methods. Payment via Paypal, check, or money order. If you decide you don't want the pen for any reason, just return it within one week for a full refund, minus only shipping. If the return is due to a fault in my description, shipping both ways is on me.

Thanks for looking!
