Leather Pen Pouches

Recommended Posts

Recently i received some beautiful leather pen pouches made by FPNer Woodnut. He started making them as a hobby from old scrap leather few weeks ago.

They are very comfortable to use and even better, they keep my beautiful FPs safe :cloud9:

Here are some pics..

The magnetic closures make it easy to open/close making it well-suited for everyday carry pens.

Easily fits two medium sized pens: Esterbrook transitional and Guider Burgundy ripple in current rotation.

PS: Woodnut only makes them as a hobby and they are not for sale. However, he will be happy to share tips and tricks with anyone who is interested to make them.

Pouch 2: Made to match the colors of my double nibbed pen: black and red. Most favored and used.

I use this pen mostly for personal correspondence, when i can sit down leisurely and pen my thoughts. Many times, i find myself playing with the beautiful flower shaped beads.

With the double nibbed pen. It can easily fit two of these. But as the pen itself can carry 2 different inks at a time, one pen is quite sufficient. :)

He will be happy to share the tips on how to make one.

They are really very nice, and if he ever decides to sell them, I'd buy one for sure. I love both closure systems on yours; the magnet, with its sleek, modern design, and the buttons, more classic and low-tech. Both beautiful, and the needlework is exquisite. Enjoy! It's a worthy home for the two-nibbed Guider - one of the few Guiders which has worked troublefree for me out of the box. Then it holds not one but two tons of ink... as we say, tremendo.

The pen cases are wonderful. I really like the closures and the way they are woven on the edges. In addition to being beautiful, they look like they would be very durable. Enjoy!

Thank you.

Before i received them, i used to keep most of my expensive pens at home as i was afraid of putting them together with keys and other stuff. Now many of those pens became my everyday carry pens.

They are very durable indeed. They look like this after few weeks of use. Sure to last very long.

Thanks for your comments :)

These are really nice, and that lacing style around the edges is really quite difficult, so congratulations on an excellent job of that!

How does the closing system thingumy work? Is it wrapped around and tucked in like the Nakaya kimono works?

Very nice pen pouch, congratulations :)
