Mine are vice-versa: unpolished shu Piccolo and aka-tamenuri Naka-ai. The urushi is so beautiful, it is impossible to have just one pen.

After 30 something Omas, I have suddenly developed great interest in Nakaya. I am so excited to be going to LA where I understand John Mottishaw will have many on display and available to see and to hold.

 

Seeing your pictures caused me to tie a bib around my neck so I don't drool onto my keyboard. What beauties!

Definitely take advantage of that! I fell in love with the look of nakaya urushi but always wanted to try out in person before purchasing. Sadly no one around Boston has a variety of nakaya pens on display so I took a blind shot on my first nakaya purchase, but it turned out to be GREAT! After that I sold several of my other pens to fund the naka-ai.

beautiful! i like the kimono pouches for the Naka-ai much better. and love the fact that you would order the pen rest/pillow to go with the pens.

this naka-ia unpolished shu is so beautiful my favorite pens are the red ones. in my contry you'll never can buy this type of pen,i bought a pilot lucina for R$350,00 =146 dollars....
