Title says it all. I've been looking around for an attractive pen case at a reasonable price. But, regardless of price show us what you use.. or what you want to use. Pictures/links would be much appreciated!!

Plastic pocket protectors are too big. The plastic ID card cases, 3 X 2, disappear into my shirt pocket. They provide

protection and rigidity in the pocket.

I have no use for "show" pen cases . Protection matters. Extra pens travel in a plastic eyeglass case.

One of these three is in rotation depending on the situation.

I have three I generally use during the week. Depends on which pens I am using.

1. A Levenger three pen case. Even holds the MB 149, with room to spare.

2. A no name four pen case I carry three Sailor 1911 versions, a Large, Standard and a mechanical pencil. Also carry a Waterman in this one.

3. A Giorgio Fedon 2 - 3 pen case, its a hard shell and I carry my special pens in this one. I purchased this and #2 on Ebay. I paid a total of $65 for both.

I have a three pen case and a one pen case. I really don't like my three pen case as it is a cheap made in china case with no dividers inside. My one pen case is really good, but I find I need to carry two pens around, not just one. If I carry one around as an edc, then I just hold onto it with my notepad.

I'm still in the finding my way stage, and, frankly, none of my pens is worth worrying too much about - inexpensive and easily replaced, in general. When I've re-sacked some of the vintage pens I've got waiting I may feel differently, but so far, they are for use and for fun, so I try to relax.

I have a few eyeglass cases, in which I put them wrapped or in a cashmere tube, and one eyeglass case that is just an open slip case in which some really, really inexpensive pens go (Under three dollars, all of them.)

I have three one pen cases, very very inexpensive, they are imitation leather and ok, but I wonder if the synthetic fabric lining would scratch some really fine finishes. For my current purposes, they are ok. Not great, but ok.

The New Year may bring along some other options for me, but so far, my everyday pens are fairly, well, everyday, and so is my treatment of them.

For the price these are hard to beat. Particularly the flap style 2,3, &4 pen, and the penvelope style 12 pen. Plus the Andersons are great to deal with.

These are the 3 cases I use most often. The Ashton pen sleeve on the bottom gets the most use since I usually only carry one pen. The middle one is a cheapish leather 2 slot case I got off ebay. Not the highest quality but it works well because its thin and still protects the pens from scratches. It can also fit very large sized pens like the Edison Collier or a MB149. The top case is the most expensive since it's a Visconti Dreamtouch case but I like it for bag carry because it has stiffer sides than the 2 slot pouch. It also holds very large pens as well as the Visconti traveling ink pot but makes it less convenient for pocket carry since it's almost twice as thick as the other case.

@TheDeacon: Those are absolutely gorgeous pen cases. Reasonably priced too...wish I had known about those before I placed an order for an Ashton 10-case leather case. I'm gonna give the ashton a trial run and see how I like it but that Penvelope 6 is just pure beauty and definitely next on my hit list once I acquire more pens!!!!

Indeed, I completely agree, that Penvelope 6 is superb. I've joined their email subscription list just to keep the company top of mind. I tend to just keep my pens in my Filofax but one day soon I think I'll treat myself to that elegant case. I don't need it... but I would like it :roller1:

Did you take that way cool photo of what looks to be a couple of C-130s? I have no idea of what mountain or volcano that is, but I sure like the picture!

I didn't buy it from Judd - but it is really lovely.

I also use a green Parker double.

I use the Sula Jane and Earl four pen case in midnight. You can find it here at Goulet Pens by copying the link information below.

I carry, variously, a 5-pen leather roll, a 3-pen leather case, and a single pen case. Depends on how many pens I am traveling with on any given day. While at work, I use a neck pouch from Franklin Christoph that I bought in November to hold my pen during the day. Looks geeky but works perfectly for my needs! The running joke from some colleagues was that someone might decide to grab the pen from the pouch, but the reality is that only a fool would make that mistake.

I didn't take that one, but I have several others. That's a flight of C-130s from Yokota Air Base at our drop zone near Mt Fuji, Japan. The base is on the west side of Tokyo, and we can see Fuji-san from the base.

Thanks for asking!

They look like giant prehistoric birds when you don't look real closely. I spent many, many hours in those lumbering giant birds while in the military - always packed a blanket, some warm slippers with leather soles, cheese and crackers, bags of peanuts and juice boxes. Two trips to Alaska (from Minnesota) taught me to pack a second blanket to lay out on those cargo seats, cause after ten hours, your butt needs some help!
