Replica 18Th Century Mechanical Pencil

Recommended Posts

My better looking and more accomplished half gifted me with this replica pencil from Jas. Townsend and Son, Inc. The graphite stick is about 5 mm in diameter. It writes like a No. 2 pencil. The holder is from Victorian Trading Co. No affil. I thought you pencil enthusiasts would enjoy this.

That is a nice porte-crayon. You could put different grade leads in either end. Or shape them differently.

I was going to let Paddler answer but...

The site advertises that they have replacement leads but I bet some other online stores and art supply stores do too. Jas Townsend is a great site and the people are super nice and pack their shipments well. I've done business with them before and will again.

BTW, check out this thread
