Wetness: 5 – Moderately wet ink

Lubrication: 4 – Not very lubricated

Saturation: 7 – Decent saturation

Opacity: 8 – Good opacity

Dry Time: 9 – Quick dry time

Water Resistance: 6 – Not waterproof but holds up well....

Shading: 9 – prominent shading.

Bleed Through: 4 -- On cheap paper.

Show Through: 4 -- On cheap paper.

Feathering: 10 -- None

USES:

Business:

Probably not, doesn't look very formal.

School:

Personal notes, not assignments.

Personal:

Very much so, a nice blue. Good dry time and no feathering. All in all a very well behaved ink that I will definitely make a habit of using.

Conclusion: (76/100 – 76%)

A decent ink. My only complaint about this ink is that it is less wet and lubricated than I like. The ink gets good shading and the flow is consistent and there is no feathering. I can happily recommend this ink.

I just picked up a bottle of this the other day and I really like it.

I disagree about your uses though - I think it's fine for business and school use. It is blue after all. :)

I can see what you're saying, the uses were just my personal opinion, now that I think about it, I could see it working for other uses as well... :vbg:

It was not a shading ink by me....what paper did you use?

I now use DA Royal Blue instead.

Re pros and cons... This ink is/was very famous, best maintenance, inexpensive, and available practically anywhere on earth.

Still, I don't like it because it is IMO, as said above, too dull. In the sense of boring. More of a too light, watered down, greyish thing with absolutely no character.

Then again, I don't chuck it, I use it for making a much greater ink out of it, like Richard's Blurple.

OH... so this is a base mixer. Otherwise boring. Thank you for the review!

Ah, "burning is bad" though exciting can be "hot"?

Whatever it is, you'll get over it.

Hopefully, not too quickly. :P

This is one of my go to inks as I like the Blue and it is easy to clean in everything I have used it in.
