Screencap Of Neil Gaiman's Pen Collection

This is from a Blackberry marketing project using Neil Gaiman, Alicia Keys and others. One shot of the video is of Neil at his desk, writing and a few frames of his pen collection.

Can anyone spot what he has?

Thanks Dan.

It looks like at least two of the pens are uncapped. I wonder if he appreciate an offer of some maintenance?

Awesome pic! It looks like he has several Watermans, a couple Retro 51 Tornados, a Montblanc, and maybe a Yard-O-Led pencil, but I'm not positive on models. I've also seen him using pens from Lamy, Cleo Skribent, Pelikan, TWSBI, Delta, and Cross. He has quite the collection.

Blue one on the far right:

Aurora Auroloide Optima?

I wonder if the man himself is a member and posts here?

EDIT:

actually, thinking about it he'd kinda had to have popped by here some time or other; TWSBI's marketing has been heavily internet forum based, at least, at the beginning (the originating Taiwanese forum, and this more international one) - as I recall, Gaiman had an ROC (?) that he signed someone's book with some time in the past 2 years. In short:

Hello Mr. G.

I have enjoyed reading the books of yours that I have read :D

You're not the first to ponder that. No answers so far....

On the pens, I'd stake a small amount of money on second from the left being a Waterman Expert, and the fourth from the left being a Waterman Man. I'd stake somewhat more money on the pale blue one slightly right of centre being a Waterman Laureat.

It also looks like there's a second layer underneath, in which I can only possibly kinda make out a metal-bodied pencil.

Oh, good heavens. He's got a blog now, too.

Oh, and though I can't make it out in the pic, I do recall reading on some blog post (or about the blog post; I can't remember which) by the author that he was fond of the Lamy 2000 for his rough drafts or some such.

He's on twitter and he recently tweeted that one of his most often used pens is his TWSBI. He mentioned one other but I don't remember what it is.

Seriously, have you checked Etsy.com yet?

Well we get a little insight of some fountain pen brands and inks he may use.

Here is a little tidbit of the inks he favors from his blog entry from 2008.

You're right, Gaiman said he used a Lamy 2000 to write the first draft of "American Gods." He said it's a great novel writing pen, but not the best for book signings (not sure why).

I can't recognize any of those, but my 2cents to the thread:

On that Tumblr post Neil speaks of the pens he was using at the time (I don't see the TWSBI on this thread's pic, boo)

To summarize the link, Neil sites his current pens, as of March 2012, as being a TWSBI Diamond 540 with Noodler's Blue Black as his go-to, plus a Delta Fluida and a Jean Pierre Lapin Indigo Classic, both with Private Reserve Copper Burst.

Also, there is photographic evidence of his use of a Field Notes (Colors series Northerly Addition) memo notebook.

he has a nice collection

I suggest TWSBI make a Neil Gaiman Pen (collector's edition). To order a pen the buyer must answer some questions from their Neil Gaiman literature of choice.

"But it is the same with humanity as with the tree. The more he seeks to rise into the height and light, the more vigorously do his roots struggle earthward, downward, into the dark and deep – into the evil." - Nietzsche, Friedrich Wilhelm. Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
