Parker Sonnet Ciselé Sterling Cisele Silver Rollerball Pen

Recommended Posts

Just received this Parker Sonnet from China today, paid $100.00 US dollars, shipping included.

The pen was sealed in plastic and as I don’t know enough about pens I was just wondering if it’s real or a knock off, any and all opinions would be appreciated.

it looks like a knock off, in my opinion...as the pen doesn't give the colour of sterling silver.(i have the 1995 model fountain pen in this pattern).

and

the golden band on the pen looks wrong as it has only a single ring(above parker) whereas the ones i have seen have 3 (2 above and 1 below).

anyways i might be wrong...

regards

Sadly I'm pretty certain this is a fake, not because of the single ring on the cap band, Parker did make a Sonnet with a single ring. My concern is mainly due to the inconsistency of the engraved Cisele pattern - you might find this previous thread of interest

Fake Sonnet Cisele

I personally would return it.

I'm pretty sure it's a fake, the arrow clip's engravings are off from the originals.

My vote goes to fake as well. That grid pattern doesn't look right to me, and it doesn't look like silver.

If it's UK made it should have a silver hallmark on it, but it will be under the grid pattern

Thanks so much for all your replies.

Although I'm convinced now the pen is a fake it still

rights well and being that I didn't pay that much for

it I think I'll keep it.

Absolutely certain this is a fake.

Place it alongside a real Cisele and you will see the difference.

Don't feel too bad - I have had the same experience buying Parker Sonnets out of Hong Kong :crybaby:
