I would like to see some nice pictures of nice pens with integrated, inlaid, semi-hooded or hooded nibs. Are there any collectors?

Hi,

I'll start you off with the Aurora 88P. This is one of my favorite pens with a semi-hooded nib.

I do like semi-hooded and hooded nibs.

Thank you for all your replys! :clap1: So many lovely pens! I really do prefer these nibs, the Sheaffer inlaid ones are beautiful!

I have two fountain pens so far and a third on it's way, the Lamy 2000 (the only one I have a picture of) and the Pilot m90. Parker Falcon should be here soon. Yesterday I think. I am very patient... :gaah:

I am looking at the Parker 100 in Opal. I really like the look of that pen. And the Sheaffer Imperial. And ...

Please add more pics! :cloud9:

Hi,

The Parker 100 isn't necessarily as good a pen as it should have been sadly. I've repaired a few, but I think the original "51" and 61 were much nicer hooded nib pens. You should keep a lookout for one of the original "51" and 61 pens.

You might be interested in these also although they aren't actually hooded. They have a nice streamlined look. Let me know what you think. These are some of my favorite writers from my personal collection. They are very pretty pens and very good writers. I'm not sure if you like small pens though. My mom has a slightly larger model that is somewhat fatter that is black with a white gold nib and steel cap.

Oh, so maybe I should avoid the Parker 100 then... Hm, I have been looking for a nice 51, but there is something with the metal pens, I prefer metal. Maybe one of those gold or silver filled (plated?) 51's?

The Aurora at the bottom was beautiful! I liked that one! What model is it?

The "semi-hooded" one with flowers also had a nice shape. What is it? I do like my m90 so I guess small pens are fine, not smaller than that though. I read that the MYU is a bit thinner and I think that, for that price, it's too small. Not sure though.

I really like the shape, thickness and weight of the Lamy 2000 (stainless steel).

Hi,

The Aurora is the 98/International. It's a very nice writer. You can get it here: pens.it It's not too expensive and has a gold nib. The Pilot pen has what they call a dart nib. It is a very nice pen.

Visually, this has become one of my favourite FPN threads. Great to look at all of these beautiful pens.

People already posted pix of Parker 51 and Onoto K, which are the only hooded nib type pens I have, so I won't be redundant.

Writing with pen and ink, is an endeavour both stimulating and cathartic.
