Most Beautiful Pen You Have Ever Seen

I feel almost guilty showing this after having seen all those wonderful and expensive fountain pens in this thread.

And I've lent my good camera to my godchild. There are better photos of this pen online, but they all show the other/old cap.

Anyway, here we go:

Call me crazy, but I love this pen.

Oh, my gosh, these pens are all so lovely! Thanks for the eye candy.

I'm obssessed with this one, presently (though it's completely out of my range):

Nakaya Ascending Dragon

I have...ahem...lusted  after this pen since the first time I saw it on John Mottishaw's website, but, alas, I fear it will remain forever out of reach.

You have my sympathies as I know just exactly how you feel.

Now, if I can just come up with a winning lottery ticket... :notworthy1:

It's a Jinhao 650 you can get at ebay for about 17$. It's a good writer, it's - apart of the gold plating on the nib - surprisingly well made, I can't find a single flaw. But compared to the FPs shown before, this is (pricewise) like a gumball machine ring among diamond jewellery.

Maybe--but that doesn't matter. Beautiful to you is beautiful, regardless of price. I think it's pretty, too. Love the mother-of-pearl.

JUST discovered this pen's existence yesterday. Dreamt about it overnight (no, I'm not kidding. I'm sad that way, pen-dreaming.) Visconti Opera Master Demonstrator, in Honey and Cream:

I don't know...there are lots of beautiful pens out there. I find myself occasionally drawn to a Pelikan M405 or M605 with blue stripes for a bit of bling, and I like Nakaya's Piccolo in Aka-Tamenuri for classic Japanese style. The Aurora 88 demonstrator is pretty slick, and I think there are quite a lot more than I can mention in a short post. I don't own any of them, and don't really want to own them for various reasons, but can admit they are beautiful.

I don't think I have any pens that I would describe as really really beautiful. This one is getting a lot of pocket time because I like the way it looks though:

That is a stunning pen! What model is it?

Website does not do their pens justice - Na Troyka Palekh pens - incredibly beautiful in person. Chance of owning one = chance of winning lottery.

[snip]

+1. They are certainly not to everyone's taste. But I happen to love imperial Russian art, and these pens are amazingly beautiful from that point of view.

Production model? Nakaya Decapod Twist

But what color?

You are leaving out important information here. And if you wanted to include a droolpic I would not have to search for one.

Every time I see the skeleton pens I drool .... oh and I drool at every Pen Posse.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

To me, the most beautiful pen I have seen it's a tie between: Waterman in blue/green ripple and the Nakaya Fox & Moon

That I own: I love my Noodler's Tahitian Tortoise because of all the marbled colors in it (cheap, but visually atractive). Second place the Namiki Falcon, I looooove that pen, for its looks and wonderful nib.

This thread has showed that there are as many different tastes in pens as there are users. Seriously. Wow! Some awesome pens here.

I just want to add that nothing, in my opinion, beats the understated elegance of the Omas Ogiva Guilloché with silver trim. Seriously beautiful.

It may be a bit modern, but the Lamy 2000 is perhaps my favorite. Elegant and understated, something Captain Picard would use.

In a world where there are no eyes the sun would not be light, and in a world where there were no soft skins rocks would not be hard, nor in a world where there were no muscles would they be heavy. Existence is relationship and you're smack in the middle of it.

I am a musician and this is one of my favorite looking pens because of the music influence. I am not a big fan of Mont Blanc cost to niceness ratio but this is one that I hope to eventually make they exception for one day.
