*The slightly lighter appearance is due to the pen misbehaving vs anything to do with the ink. My apologies.

I am surprised by the lack of responses. Here are a couple more offerings with a different nib:

You see, this one might just have the edge over the Ultra Green you've reviewed as it would seem to have the contrast, being just that little bit darker perhaps. I like it.

Somehow I missed your original post.... :headsmack: Probably I thought what you did -- that it would be a darker and more saturated ink.

This is a really nice color. I like the fact that there's still some shading even in finer nib. How water resistant is this? And what's clean-up like?

Rats. Now *another* ink to add to the rapidly increasing list of "must try"....

Sigh.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Thank you. Not Rhodia, it is Black n Red 'Quad' paper in notebook form. It really is gorgeous to write on.

Hello Cap'n. Do you really think this is darker? I found it much softer that UG, but obviously the important thing is what you perceive to be the darker.

Hi Ruth,

This is a great colour and I really enjoyed the feeble attempt at calligraphy - I nither have the time nor inclination to print letters!! The water -resistance is minimal, I wouldn't recommend swimming or the likes with your work. The clean-up on the other hand is very straight forward and quick. As for another ink to add... I am with you on that!

Warm wishes,

Bhavna

Bhvana, Sorry about the lack of responses, but I bought the ink based on your recommendation.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I just stumbled upon this review, thanks to amberleadavis' comment bringing it to the surface. I'm in a green mode with inks and they just seem to be getting better. I favor the botanical greens, those that lean more toward the yellow (many inks that are called green appear teal or even turquoise to me) as you'll often see on the leaves of plants. I agree, the color is too warm to be emerald. Lovely shading. Add another bottle to the shelf.

Bhvana does nice reviews and shares some great inks. I just inked up with this ink and it is exactly a leafy green.

Of course I saw this review just moments after buying a big bottle of Diamine 'Evergreen.' It's so dark it reads as black, like the Noodlers 'Sequoia' I was trying to improve upon. Well, ya gotta kiss a few frogs...

I like the look of this ink, and for me it seems well named. When I get around to opening my bottle of Sherwood Green I will have to return to your review and see if I have made a terrible mistake. Thanks for the great review!
