Another great review but sadly not of an ink I'll ever be trying. It's far too pale for me and I need plenty of contrast between paper and ink to be able to read it, irrespective of the colour.

Thank you again. I am sorry it appears pale, all the tweaking of software in the world is not making a drop of difference to show its 'actual' glorious properties. But I completely understand, sometimes it is not worth the aggravation if something is too light. Headaches are not fun!

It's not your scan that's the problem at all. Light inks or printed text just aren't that easy for me to read and it's not just something that's developed with age or eyesight per se. At least I don't think so. Maybe just preference.

Of course, I'm only allowed out when the moon's right which might have a little to doooooooooooooooooo with it.

Sorry.

Bhavna,

Thanks for your ink review. Like other light colored inks, I like to use the Diamine Amber ink with flexible, broad and stub nibs that can lay lots of ink on paper. I also prefer to use Diamine Amber ink on Ivory colored paper. Those two factors alone can make a huge difference in the final looks of this ink, bringing the Diamine Amber ink to full life and color vibrancy. Here are some writing samples I did about a year ago with think ink, nib and paper combination. Notice the big difference the selection of nib and paper can do to this light colored ink.

Mauricio,

Wow, stunning images, and I agree about ivory paper coupled with Amber (and also Diamine's Orange) are just fabulous. Thank you so much for these, they really show up the shading possibilities to this lovely ink!
