How do you like your Edison Hudson? I've had my eye on that particular coulour for some time now, just waiting for a reason to hit the checkout button!

I really like the Hudson. It is a large pen that fit well in my hand. The M nib on mine write very well with just a hint of feedback. The color varies from deep dark green black to bright "yellow" green all depending on the light. Beautiful pen that I am glad I purchased.

Change is not mandatory, Survival is not required.

I'm playing with my new Sterling Silver Targa with a nice stub nib which I bought from a fellow FPNer.It's my first stub nib and I feel I still have to learn how to use it.

+1 Not possible!

But... which one is your favorite ... today.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Too many "cartridge pens" inked.

I'm sensing a Schaeffer theme. And you can refill cartridges....

I accidentally left out one pen yesterday. I re-did the sheet because I had done it in increasing nib sizes. So...

Wow, I think you are the only poster that doesn't have a pen inked with blue. Not even a purple. ....

I love the little Stipula. Not only is it a great writer, it's pocket size and it holds a lot of ink because it's an eyedropper. It seems really well sealed and I hope it stays that way because the Pilot Blue ink that's in it is pretty permanent. Also, I'm really happy that it's the version that has threads for posting on the back end of the barrel. Many of the versions of this pen don't and they don't post well. This short pen really needs to be posted.

I spent 46 years as an engineer. The first half of that was before CAD, all drawings were hand lettered. Unlike doctors, engineers get lettering classes in college, then lots of practice once they get work. In a large company such as the one I worked for, there were even Drawing Quality Assurance people who made sure that the lettering, line widths, etc. were up to the proper standards of legibility and reproducibility. We quickly learned to print very neatly, doing drawings over made for very poor performance reports.

When I think the DQ dept, I think ice cream. doh.gif However, that explains a lot. The embarrassing thing is that though attorneys are professional writers, our handwriting is not nearly as clear or concise as architects or engineers.

Big difference in price on those pens. A while ago, I pulled apart my Plumixes to clean the nibs. Wow were they dirty. Has yours "broken" in yet?

I broke down and had to put in some pink. The Color is mixed 2 Akkerman Pink and 2 Magenta with 1 Noodler's Ghost Blue 1 Noodler's Pink Dragon Catfish and a splash (left over) Levenger Cardinal Red.

Not as much as you'd think.

The Plumix was less than $8 at Target. Mine work fine with Con 20 converters.

The Rajan was $50.00 if I remember correctly and the Knox nib was about $7.

The ringtop was $70 since it's an advertising pen without the manufacturer on the barrel but the nib is marked EHCO for Eggens Hambler Co.
