My Own Private Pelikan-Guide

In another thread (HERE) I have been asked to show my complete Pelikan collection sorted by model. Photographing my pens is also part of the hobby for me, and because single pen pictures are rather boring, I always am trying to form sort of sub collections in my pictures. So here comes "my own private Pelikan-Guide":

Great reference photos!

Tempts me to try to complete the Pelikan size chart (showing all the models at the same scale) - could never get all the models, pix and size info together! Must try harder.

PS

From what I could see, the 400NN is the biggest vintage Pelikan - is that correct do you think?

wich ones are missing? perhaps we could do together..?

I'd say the 300 and the 400NN have nearly the same lenght.

I'll find it and PM it to you - you will know better then I what to add! Would like to see this completed, as I remember how hard it was to find out the relative sizes of a vintage Pel one is considering, and have it as decent graphic. It would be a good resource, I think. Richard Binder's pen-comparator is great, but it only has the modern Pels.

Sincerely, beak.

Yayyyyyy. So lovely! Thanks for posting this.

Can I request that a mod sticky this? Christof, what an amazing collection you have.

Your photography skills are nothing to scoff at either. How perfectly straight they all are! Like little toy soldiers.

Maybe one day I can amass one of these myself but for now, I'll just have to settle for living vicariously through you!

I don't know what it is about vintage Pelikans but they just make me fuzzy all over.

Thank you for the pictures of your beautiful pens, Christof, and for arranging them with their date information :) I hope you are able to complete this project so we can learn more from it!

...to complete!?! Are you kidding? Do you know how many pens that would be? (I don't think that even Rick Propas collection is complete. ...is it, Rick???)

Thanks for the kind words anyway.

I didn't mean the collection, but the pictorial guide, with the help of friends in the forum who own the other pens :) I agree the number of pens to be covered would seem daunting, but it's nice to dream.

This "project" has already been started by someone else, long ago: it's Martin Lehmanns Pelikan-Guide. The real one. It's a pinned topic here in the Pelikan brand forum. You should have a look...
