Did Parker make a Forest Green gold cap 51 ballpoint???

I'm having trouble to find it. If it was and if is possible, please send me some pictures, because I never saw such a piece.

I have the book "Parker 51" by David Shepherd where mention that Ballpoints were released in the same colors that the Fountains ... however, I never saw, not even on the Internet a photo of the Ballpoint in Forest Green color.

Very grateful and forgive me for my poor english ...

Best,

Paulo Corrêa

Forest green pens themselves are very hard to find..... 51 ballpoints are also very difficult to come by...

Combine those situations and the chances of finding one are going to be very very difficult and I would not be surprised if a forest green ballpoint bought a fair amount more than the fountain pen...

I saw a forest green Parker 51 ballpoint a year or so ago on ebay and watched it. I think it went for $131 US. The ballpoint was used and looked to have some brassing on the clip.

Adding: About a year ago I was selling a Pelikan and a member offered to trade a Parker 51 pen and ballpoint in forest green with gold caps for it, so maybe you would want to place a want to buy ad in the classifieds. Maybe that would chum up something for you.

If it can be of help, here is a picture of the Jotter 51 in forest green.

The cap is marked 'Parker 51 Made in USA 1/10 12K Gold Filled' and bears the Parker halo logo. The barrel is not marked.

I bought this ballpoint as part of a set but I was not aware that these might be rare.

Not the forrest green color being discussed - but I've certainly always thought this pen had a green-ish tint to it. Suppose it is more a navy gray.

The "51" ballpoints are out there, but as Old Griz says, very scarce. This one is NOS, from inventory that never sold - out of a jewelry store. (I was a lucky one day about 2-3 years ago. I talked to a guy, who knew a guy, who knew this older gentleman who owned a store....well, you get the picture.)
