This blue did nothing for me until today, I finally inked up my Lamy 2000 with it. What a match. The one thing I always liked about this ink was that I DIDN'T SEE ANY PURPLE in it. As soon as I scan it - voila, violet. Somehow the hint of purple I see in BSB shows up here - in the darker parts of this ink. It's a medium blue, and not a terribly attractive one at that except in my L2K, a wet writing broad nibbed pen, which shows it darker.

What I was seeing with this ink was that it went down an almost dark blue that paled a bit drying into a medium blue with green undertones. yuck. With the wet writing "B" it says very blue, not noticeably green nor in any way PURPLE.

I need more time with this ink to see if I warm up to it in any other pen/nib combo, or if it will only feed mt L2K.

Water test (hot water soak, 25 minutes)

When with drier nibs - this would fade with a hint of green to it - it quite resembled Diamine WES Kensington Blue... not so from the L2K. Out of the Lamy, this ink reminds me of Private Reserve American Blue only a tic or two lighter. Quite nice.

Glad I could help, fabrimedeiros. The more I use this ink, the more I like it... but so far, only out of a Broad nib. I hope you enjoy yours.

Wow -- what a nice color. Thanks for the review. When they did the Akkerman group buy a couple of years ago, I tried to pick inks that filled color gaps in the stash, so I didn't get any of the blues or purples.

I should consider rectifying that... :headsmack:

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
