Most people have seen the 23k Palladium nib before, either in person or in pictures, but just in case, this is what it looks like. Note the little tab that they put on most of the clips of pens with 23k Palladium nibs.

Im not quite sure, but I think there might be something wrong with these two nibs. They just are not writing that well. And I didn't press hard like the tag said...

OMG!!!yikes.gifWhat happened? Did a dog chew it or was it crushed by a car wheel or something?!

In some things in life it's better to take a Zen approach. If you think too much you won't achieve your goal, wheras if you don't think and let yourself go, it shall be achieved with ease. I find this helpful in writing, kendo and music.

Hmmm, gulls dropping them on the rocks to break them open and eat the tasty contents? Garbage disposal?

Do we win the top nib if we guess the mangle?

I am guessing you were flushing and cleaning out the nibs when you accidentally dropped them into the sink [garbage] disposal...

Or perhaps a powerful paper shredder.

In any case, my condolences to these nibs.

Darn...Looks like Sebau got to them. I'll never forget when she did in -all- of my nice brushes... handmade ones I had brought back from Japan... they more or less looked like that... it was heartbreaking! Seeing those nibs and feeds like that is equally heartbreaking! :crybaby:

(Sebau is my old mutt 17 years old and still going strong.. and still eating strange things...toilet paper, cloth, rocks, silverware...)

wow... I hope that that nib wasn't from the person who split it earlier this week on anger issues. I hope you didn't take it back, cause it really looks like abuse, even though you are so fantastically awesome. WHAT HAPPENED????

I believe this is what happens when one tries to unscrew one of these nibs without the proper tool. [shudder!]

I came here for the pictures and stayed for the conversation.

LOL, funny comments! :)

Well, here is what happened... My lovely wife and her mother tag teamed the destruction...

My B-day party was last saturday, and my wife surprised me a 2 day trip to Vegas for my Birthday. Not a small accomplishment especially since we have a 2 and 4 year old. So her mother was being helpful and did the dishes for use whilst we were gone. I had these two nibs soaking in a cup on the counter. I do it often if Im cleaning out a pen. Well, she I guess poured them in the drain and the night we got back, my wife started the disposal... And well, you see the results... Nibs VS disposal... You see the winner :(

Cheers!

THAT is funny. I'm sorry. I can see that happening though. Now the tricky thing... would visconti take them back????

Hope your trip to Vegas reaped some rewards. It's going to take a very very skilled nibmeister to resurrect those two nibs ><

Nightmare-ish.

Guess this is not the kind of dreams Visconti was referring to.

Bryant, after the first choc, I was wondering about how your face could have looked when you discovered who did...

Hey~ two destroyed nibs for two days of surprise Vegas trip is not a bad tradeoff. I'd say it's worth it! :roflmho:

At least they're modern nibs, not some vintage MB/Pelikan nibs...that would really hurt!
