WTT Levenger Newton Rollerball

The pen I'm putting up for trade is a Levenger Newton rollerball, in the "bronze" color scheme. I bought this one new back when Levenger had them in the catalog -- they've been out of production for a while now, I'm pretty sure.

Things you should know. . .

This is a heavy pen with lots of metal content. If you like heft, this one's for you. The threads inside the cap are black plastic (nylon?) and give it a smooth-and-soft feeling when you cap or post it. The clip has strong tension. It's really quite solid all around. This was designed with an emblem on the cap copied from the knob of Sir Isaac Newton's walking cane.

It takes standard international rollerball refills: Schmidt, Aurora, and of course Levenger. It also accepts Pilot G2 gel and (my favorite) Zebra JF gel rollerball refills, so you've got plenty of options. It'll come with a refill, whatever kind I've got handy (probably a JF) so you can start scribbling right away.

It comes with the original Levenger display box and cardboard outer box. The condition I'd call near mint.

What I'd like to get for it. . . I'm looking for some kind of nifty pen, vintage or modern. I'm open to experiment, so if you have something off-the-wall please don't be afraid to offer it! However, there are a few items I would find particularly interesting. . . .

  • a Lamy 2000
  • a Japanese pocket pen
  • a Sheaffer Tuckaway
  • something with bright colors
  • something made from ebonite
