I have already mentioned trademark no. 71,047 earlier in this series, the word "Spear" with little arrowhead-shaped serifs, but now, let me also point you to trademark no. 69,248, Eagle Pencil Co., "Lead-Pencils", June 2, 1908, used since 1882, for the word "Arrow" and a stylized arrow. Also see design no. 88,821, Joseph B. Platt, et al, "[The "Vacumatic" Arrow] Fountain Pen And Pencil Clip", Dec 27, 1932, co-designer Ivan D. Tefft, assigned to the Parker Pen Co., and design no. 93,444, Frederick T. Blakeman, "Fountain Pen Or Pencil [Quill Feather Arrow] Clip", Oct 2, 1934, assigned to the Spencerian Pen Co. Trademark no. 323,266, A. W. Faber, "Rubber Erasers", Apr 9, 1935, used since 1924, is for the word "Arrowhead". Trademark no. 419,077, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Mechanical Pencils, Etc.", Feb 5, 1946, used since Aug 1, 1932, is for the symbol of an arrow registered by Kenneth S. Parker and Ivan D. Tefft appointed as attorney "to prosecute this application for registration". Trademark no. 628,281, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Ball Point Pens, Etc.", June 5, 1956, used since May 16, 1955, is for the words "Golden Arrow". Trademark no. 628,282, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Ball Point Pens, Etc.", June 5, 1956, used since May 16, 1955, is for the words "Silver Arrow". Trademark no. 659,068, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Etc.", Jan 21, 1958, used since Aug 7, 1956, is for a heraldic crest, or shield with two quills, an arrow, and the letter "P". Trademark no. 774,545, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Etc.", Aug 4, 1964, used since May 16, 1955, is for the word "Arrow". Trademark no. 779,075, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Etc.", Oct 27, 1964, used since Sept 8, 1958, is for an earlier version of the familiar Parker arrow-and-oval symbol. Trademark no. 904,691, Parker Pen Co., "Hand Tools, Etc.", Dec 22, 1970, used since February 1965, is for another version of the Parker arrow-and-oval symbol. Trademark no. 1,178,088, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Etc.", Nov 17, 1981, used since August 1932, is for an arrow-shaped clip illustrated on a short, Minim-sized ballpoint, trademark no. 811,716. Trademark no. 1,301,611, Parker Pen Co., "Fountain Pens, Etc.", Oct 23, 1984, used since June 1955, is for a clip that preceded the "Centennial Duofold" arrow clip.
