31, Color Images, At Last!

Most of the trademarks were digitized as black-and-white JPEGs and placed online as PDFs, but somehow a few of the images snuck in as color images. Trademark no. 60,469, American Lead Pencil Co., "Lead-Pencils And Point-Protectors", Feb 12, 1907, used since March 1904, is for a blue-colored band on the ferrule of a "Velvet" or "Venus" pencil, one of the few full-color images of a trademark on the USPTO website. Trademark no. 131,087, Harry Dailey, "Pencils", May 4, 1920, used by Joseph Dixon Crucible Co. since 1873, is for the name "Ticonderoga" in stylized form, another rare color image. Trademark no. 798,706, Higgins Ink Co., Inc., "Inks And Inking Materials", Nov 16, 1965, used since 1880, is for the word "Higgins", a third rare color image. All three of these trademarks are also online in black-and-white versions, 60,469, 131,087, and 798,706, along with other forms, papers, and pictures of specimens on the "Document List" page in the TDR Portlet. I'd like to post the links to the list pages, but the URLs for the lists time-out and expire after a few minutes.

If you want to perform the trademark searches, simply cut and paste, or type the trademark numbers into the search window in the Trademark Document Retrieval Portlet.
