Trademark no. 15805, Ormiston & Glass, "Steel Pens", Aug 21, 1888, used since Dec 1, 1887, is for the words "Ball-Pointed Pens, Mightier Than The Sword", and "The Pen Moves The World", and an image of a penholder acting as a lever, a book as the fulcrum, and a winged cupid, as a representation of inspiration, or thought taking flight, sitting on the penholder handle acting as the weight that moves a globe, or the world with the point of the nib. Lying opposite the penholder is a broken sword. Also see Lion & Pen Topic 1417, and look for a later segment in this series about ball-pointed nibs.
