As part of her presents next month I would like to include another fountain pen. Ideally I would like a medium nib Sailor/Namiki/Pilot but I am open to other brands. Interested to know what you have available.

Did you see this on Nibs.com?

Item #I-1443 is a Visconti Opera in Summer Yellow in near mint condition with a Fine 14k rhodium-plated single-tone nib. Includes converter. Retail $450. Our price - $325

It appears orange on their web site.

That Opera is on the yellow side, I have it. That price is also high.

Pams pens lists a Sailor in Orange.

DennisB is selling Bexley Poseidons which come in Orange, but they are on the fat side.

Bryant Greer may be able to get you a Delta Dolce Vita at a good price (he ran a special a while back) and that comes in a petite size. It is a spectacular pen in a spectacular color. pentime.net.

looked again at your post. The Sailor 1911 full size or the professional gear can be found in orange medium nib, pams pens as before, melpens and pengallery or pensgallery on ebay. The latter are reliable sellers. That orage is very pretty and can be had for $200-230. I've never seen pilot in that color.

Another choice from the Bexley line is the brand new Intrepid, available with either a steel nib ($129) or an 18K gold nib ($259). See the For Sale forum for details.

andyspens.co.uk has for sale an Aurora Ipsilon Fountain pen (M) and Ball point pen set in orange for £60.00 (RRP £90.00) in his vintage pen section. Andy is a good seller. (no affiliation etc.) Just thought this might be useful info.

Always worth keeping your eye on other options, this link finds that particular pen for 50% cheaper still...

  • 2 weeks later...

Pelikan M320s are available in orange, and although it may be a bit small, it's pretty hard to go wrong with a Pelikan.

Saying that though... I was having a nosey on Nibs.com and noticed thay had a second hand Nakaya in Orange

Question is, does she love pens enough to warrant buying her something so expensive??
