The Koh-i-noor fountain pen (Artpen - yellow barrel)

Hi, does anyone know where to get a Koh-i-noor fountain pen (or Artpen) with the yellow plastic barrel which uses waterproof ink (an important factor for me) in a fillable cartridge? I have been using these el cheapo pens for years and they suit my style of cartooning. But am worried my current one may break (they develop fine splits in the plastic at the end holding the nib section). I missed out on one on eBay and can't find any for sale on the net at the moment. Or maybe someone has used one and knows of a very similar, good alternative? The attached pic may help. Thanks (my first post)

Got one from FleaBaye about a year ago. I had to go close to $100 USD to steal it. Guy was in Oz and seemed to have several. All NIB, However I

don'r recall that Yellow bbl. Mine is black. He kept throwing them up on Ebay after I ruined the market. It is an excellent pen. Might also try

EBay search as Art Pen Koh-I-Noor. Sorry I'm not more help, Jim

I used to have one of these and LOVED it--great pen--hard to find now though.

I now use use Platinum Carbon Black {A waterproof fountain pen ink} In a regular fountain pen and get waterproof lines. Just flush between fillings and do not leave in an unused pen for more than a week.

Thanks for tips on the Koh-i-noor artpen (fountain pen). I have managed to buy parts from different places and am putting them together. Have confirmed that there is a black barrel as well as a yellow barrel version. Would still like to get either one in v. good condition, and whole, but meanwhile I will used my assembled version.

I have one but it does have the cracks in the barrel.

There are a lot of great, permanent, fountain pen inks. My favorite happens to be Noodler's black (most maintenance-free permanent ink I have used) but many other carbon blacks are also perfectly permanent. Noodler's does have it's quirks. I use it diluted (roughly) two parts ink to one part distilled water.

Actually, the mix is closer to 1:1 and the ink is still very black and very permanent. The thing that dilution did the most was reduce the nib creep.

I have one of these in the original box, but don't have the wheel or the ink bottle.

I just washed it and filled the barrel with green transparent ink and it's working.

Are you interested? If you want to see a photo, let me know.
