I also write with all caps...except with a fountain pen. It is an odd occurrence. When I am holding a fountain pen, I write in small letters.

That being said, I think it looks fine. Some of the letters are a little close together, so it makes it sometimes hard to figure out the particular word. You might try to practice with writing small letters too. That is what I did, and it is fun to try new stuff.

It's been soooo very long since I've even attempted to make a small letter or cursive letter that it looks like I'm in first grade! Kind of amusing actually.

I may have to take some of my favorite quotes and write them out for display purposes, doing one variation with all caps and another with the usual mix of upper and lower case.

Now, what writing styles work best with all caps? That may be the hard part.

Go for it generalist. And post the results here if you'd like. Same invite to others.

Text in all capitals is much more difficult to read than in lower case. There's a reason books are not printed in all caps.

Just something interesting to note (according to graphologists)...

Capitalization of Your Printed Writing

When you write in all capital letters, you eliminate the distinction among the three zones of writing. Handwriting analysts believe that writing in all caps is an attempt to hide your true personality and be dishonest.

When you write in all capital letters, you eliminate the distinction among the three zones of writing. Handwriting analysts believe that writing in all caps is an attempt to hide your true personality and be dishonest.

Having dabbled a bit in both graphology and graphoanalysis, I can see that point; however, I think I'd change the wording from "is an attempt" to "has the effect". To the extent that the three zones are linked to the id, ego, and superego, block printing does give the graphologist less to work with, but attempt implies intent.

In my case, at least, the only intent is to make my text more legible. Sadly, my true personality is going to come out in the content, despite any of my best intentions to the contrary!

Once a thread gets started, you just never know what direction it'll take.

I think, for me, it started in 7th grade (writing in all caps). There were a few things going on: I was always confused with capitalization and that simply eliminated that problem internally (although I realized I'd still have to work on improving that skill) and I was discovering cartooning (which has a lot of tradition in "all caps" writing). It turns out, that years later, I continue to write that way.

This thread is simply meant to be fun.

Fun is fine.

But it's like a verbal conversation...someone says something and the other person is reminded of a certain thing...and off they go on a somewhat related tangent.

No harm intended.
