Date code on Duofold Centennial

I have an orange 1990s Duofold Centennial fountain pen. I wonder whether there is a date code on this pen. I meticulously checked everywhere, but could not find anything. Still mention is made of date codes when these pens are offered for sale. I saw one offered with a mention of a date code on the cap 180 degrees from the clip side. Found nothing.

Anybody knows? Thanks!

Although my duofold is an International I'm guessing it is about the same age as yours (mines a 1992 Date Code IA) The date code is on the black part of the barrel, just below the gold bands, it reads 'Parker' on one side and 'Made in UK' on the opposite side and the date code fall inbetween the two, it's not very obvious though, unless it's just me and I need to go to specsavers! :roflmho:

parker changed the location of the date codes.

if you have a early duofold, that used to have the date code on the back side of the cap and the cap has been switched in a store (while changing nibs or so) with a duofold that has the date code on the black end of the barrel, then there is no date on the pen, the other pen should have 2 date codes.

Sorry, did not read Mint's reply correctly. Have the same code, so it must be from 1992.

Thanks guys!

Glad you found it, just curious, where was it?

Sorry, did not see your question until now. Like "ceejaybee" said where it was.

That might answer my question on my orange pen - didn't ever find date codes on the caps - my older ones were pre 1990 - so no codes.

Just received my first Parker. And it's a Duofold centennial orange flattop.

The engraving is on the barrel endcap.

It says only 'I'

Referring to Binder's article on date codes, I infer that it's 1994 and Q4.

Am I correct ?

TIA :)
