Very interesting. reminds me of my school days. I didn't have my pelikano any more but luckily my wife was more organised, so I just stole hers to add to the collection :D

Help? Why am I buying so many fountain pens?

Hi folks,

maybe somebody is interested in the chronology of the Pelikano...

That's very interesting. I'm not interested too much in the modern pens and recent production, but I will refer to this one for the period up to 60s that I'm trying to cover. So many thanks for sharing such useful informations.

woah, thanks

I love the first one with the full hooded nib... the cap looks much more stylish than on the following PELIKANO generations! I had a P15 once (same design!)

Love it!

I had talked myself from buying a Version 1 or 2 (or 3) due to monetary issues, but now all resistance is futile :notworthy1:

Thank you, awsome work! I learned writing with a pelikano (red ones maintly; blue ones were considered a bit weird...) and that wake a lot of memories up!! Thanks again!

I have the #7 pen (not the gold plated nib however) and like it a lot. It has the "A" (beginner) nib and my wife who is left handed can use it easy enough. Thanks for the post as I was not sure of the date range.

Thank you so much for this overview! I'm sitting here with seven of my Pelikanos and they seem to be type 4 and 5 all of them :) I absolutely adore Pelikanos so finding this warmed my heart

I had a blue one like the very last one in this series and always meant to replace it when I lost it on a plane. And then Pelikan changed the Pelikanos to a style I really don't like. I keep looking for any used or NOS in this style for cheap but they're impossible to find. Mine was a super smooth M.

You may love to see other colors.

Thanks. I had the model 79. I remember that I broke of the clip. Don't know how long I used the Pelikano, but I can't remember having one with the elongated windows. Maybe my last one held until I got the old pen from the 30s or 40s from my father which I sadly lost near end of school. It had a great nib.
