Here is the first clue for PART 1:

Everyone is familiar with the ubiquitous Sheaffer Cartridge Pen.

Name the three types of cartridges Sheaffer used in its history.

The correct answer will include the cartridge name AND the pens that it works on.

You already have answer number 1:

Cam - You are almost right on one:

Yes - the "Slim Cartridge II" was actually called the Skrip II Cartridge - so you get credit for that one.

Sheaffer Slim Targa

Yes - the Slim Targa is one of the two pens that used it. The Fashion used standard carts.

GREAT START! Name the other pen that used the Skrip II Cartridge!

What about the Agio? I don't know it and have only seen pictures, but it seems to be very slender. Could it take a different kind of cartridge?

Dear Natalie,

The Agio uses the standard Skrip Cartridge.

CLUE TO QUIZ PART TWO:

HINT - The pen in question is shown in the FIRST picture in this Quiz.

1955 not only saw the debut of the Sheaffer Cartridge Pen under the name "Fineline Cartridge Pen."

Typical for Sheaffer, new technology that might possibly cause problems for the brand often would be introduced in a sub-brand. Sheaffer did this with the Vacuum-Filler system by introducing it in the Vacuum-Fil and WASP pens first.

What many people do not know is that the same Sheaffer cartridge system was introduced in 1955 in another brand, but not one owned by Sheaffer.

What is that pen?

Name the company and / or the pen and you win the Sheaffer Calligraphy Mini Kit!
