May I See Your Blue Pens?

Recommended Posts

I am fascinated with the color blue and the color indigo. May I see your blue to purple pens? I would like to find a finish I really like so I can look at purchasing a pen like it.

WTB Sheaffer Balance oversized with a flex nib, semi flex, broad, or medium in carmine red or grey striated.

Wtb Sheaffer Pfm in black or blue with a medium or broad nib.

My only blue pen:

Michel Perchin's Blue Serpent

Other great blue pens:

The limited edition Vanishing Point in Ice Blue (If God is not a TarHeel, then why's the Sky Carolina Blue?)

The Pelikan Souveran M-800 comes in a great striated flag blue:

On the upscale end of pendom, where function meets art, there is David Oscarson's Valhalla in blue Odin livery:

http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr131/yachtsilverswan/Valhalla.jpg

Carved from a solid block of English hallmarked sterling silver, the Valhalla series renders a three dimensional bas relief image that is then sealed in translucent hard enameling. The carvings memorialize David Oscarson's Norse heritage and the Norse mythology recorded on rune stones scattered across Northern Europe - the Viking longboat, the Midgard serpent, and Thor's hammer Mjllonir as the clip.

Here's my GV Faber Castell Guilloche:

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j86/brabla10/Image004.jpg

Sorry for: a.) The extremely crappy picture quality, but my cell phone was all I had lying around. b.) The fact that it's a ballpoint and not a fountain pen : )

However, it is a beautiful indigo color and it is available as a fountain pen. Here's a link to the Guilloche FP:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Graf-von-Faber-Castell-18K-GUILLOCHE-Fountain-Pen-BLUE_W0QQitemZ250490916685QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a526c0f4d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

It's actually a deeper indigo than it appears in the ebay pictures.

FYI, I've bought many of my pens from this seller; she has some great deals.

I'm getting more and more fond of blue and some of these pens are simply beautiful. I particularly favour the MB Verne, the CS Blue Stardust, Pilot's Blue Carbonesque, The Visconti Wall Street and the Pelikan Lapis. Nice thread!

Beautiful photos of an original and beautiful pen. I'm very fond of the clip. Did you take these with your new Leica, IANAN?

I have discovered that not too many people talk about Élysée. Mine has a nib that is soooo nice, although the pen itself is thinner than I would prefer. Here is my Élysée Parthenon, Blue Laque, circa 1992:
