Conway Stewart pens with silver trim

Hi,

I have recently seen an increase of people ordering their Conway Stewart pens with silver trim and thought it would be fun if people would share images of their pens.

Here are a few resin with silver trim combination images...

Here is one for those who love the colour blue. The pen is enamel on sterling silver and has always been one of my favourites.

I'd love to get my hands of the lawyer pen with the scales of justice when I have graduated. I fancy its flat top shape and the black silver combination very much. I like that it is not overloaded with symbols - the scales on the cap band are very stylish.

Vaguely on topic - Mary, why are so many of the LE silver pens based on the smaller sizes? I love the Belgravia, but it's right at the bottom of my comfort range for writing unposted and many silver pens don't post well, especially in hot climates.

Also, are you going to have any more of that dark, almost black amethyst purple resin? I forget the name. That would be awesome with silver.

Good question and I will bring this point to CS during our next product meeting. Did you see the MetalWrite RR1? It is the same size as the Belgravia with Damascus Steel stoppers. The pen weighs heavier than the Belgravia and has a different engraving and clip.

The other large silver pen we produce is the awarding winning Evolution. It is larger than the Belgravia and RR1 with an integral weight that can be moved to change the balance of the pen.

If you like enamel, then I would like to suggest the Romanoff made exclusively for the Oriental Express in Russia. This pen is based on the same model as your Belgravia and is heavier due to the hand applied enamel.

Purple resin.... are you thinking of the Purple Amethyst? Now that would be a stunner with silver trim. We have the material available and could make you a pen through our bespoke service.

Kind regards,

Mary

Thanks, Mary. I hesitated over the Evolution BECAUSE of the mechanism [i hold my pens way back on the body beyond what the designers seem to expect] plus a craving for color. If the Russian pen had more color, I'd be on it in a heartbeat. That's the size and weight I love. As the thrilled owner of 3 Yard o Led Grands that are longer than my Belgravia, I truly prefer size and weight in my pens since I use them for such extended periods of time. It just seems like the pretty colors of enamel go on the small pens. That damascene effect is interesting. :hmm1:

I'll have to hunt up your color codes again, but it could be the Purple Amethyst. Not the flecked, which are too neon for the effect I want, but the deep, almost black color. I'd love to see those deep, imperial tones on a silver bodied pen. :puddle:

Have to say good things about the IB nibs now that I've used them. 10 out of 10 for performance.

My apologies in advance for the quality of my pics, Mary....

Here's the 2 new CS pens (Churchill/100) I just received the other day, both with silver trim....

Churchill is in Dartmoor and 100 is in Blue Stardust....both are extremely handsome I think.....but then I'm probably biased having chosen these colors....

Photo also shows two of my other CS pens; Dandy in black with silver trim and a vintage green hatched 58....
